Bogotá | Spanish Translation - No Soccer in Argentina?

Spanish to English Translation - Traducción español al inglés en Bogotá

Título: Una Argentina sin fútbol

Headline: An Argentina without Soccer

Bogota Traducciones - Argentina Soccer - español al inglés
Argentine fans were dazzled Saturday with another spectacular performance by Lionel Messi in the 5-0 trouncing of Celta by Barcelona. The next day they celebrated the goals of Mauro Icardi and Ever Banega for Inter in an Italian League lead by the Juventus of Gonzalo Hinguaín and Paulo Dybala. That Sunday Sergio “Kun” Aguero notched another goal for Manchester City in the English Premier League. Carlos Tevez debuted with a goal and two assists in China’s Super League. And Diego Valeri scored two goals in the debut of the Portland Timbers in the US MLS. Other goals from Argentines spanned Cyprus to New Zealand.

There are nearly 2,000 Argentine players abroad besides dozens of trainers in international leagues and teams (Diego Simeone, Jorge Sampaoli, and Mauricio Pochettino among others). But the country of Messi, Diego Maradona, and Alfred Di Stéfano, the country that won the World Cups in 1978 and 1986 and whose national team is currently number one in the world rankings, could not start its weekend with its own Professional League. Argentina has not had any soccer games for almost 80 days. Its national federation (Argentine Soccer Association) is under FIFA sanction.  And its players are on strike.
